How to talk about work and free time

This course builds upon what you learned in Essential language for making introductions in a professional context. As well as vocabulary, there is a strong focus on comprehension and pronunciation skills.

By the end of this course you’ll be able to talk fluently about your typical working day, as well your idea of a perfect weekend. You’ll have mastered how to use adverbs of frequency and you’ll learn 10 phrasal verbs.

On this course you will learn how to:

  • talk about routine and a typical working day
  • use adverbs of frequency
  • talk about your free time
  • understand what phrasal verbs are
  • use 10 phrasal verbs
  • apply a study technique called the imitation technique in order to learn to speak more fluently
