<p>Charlie was a self-effacing waiter at a Michelin-star restaurant in London. But his life didn’t use to be tickety-boo.</p>
<p>He grew up in a dodgy neigbourhood where nobody used Queen’s English. So, when Charlie wanted to find a job in the city center, he had always failed at the job interviews. </p>

<p>I went to my mate’s house to watch the England game the other day. I  walked in and said “How is it going?” he gave me a beer and I said “ta.” England lost 4-1 to Germany. In my mother tongue (Hungarian) sometimes I don&#8217;t even notice if I use slang words. The only time I am aware of using them is when I use slang I have learnt from my 18-year-old son, because I do it on purpose, I am so amazed how creative youngsters are to come up with these expressions.</p>
