I think teaching is one of the most diffcult job, a hugely rewarding one as a personal level, though, because you can see people thriving and developing their knowledge thanks to your work.

When I was young, after graduating, one of my first job experience was as a teacher of Italian language for foreigners here in Florence. I realized back then how a difficult job is to teach. It’s not only about being proficient in the subject you teach, but it’s also about having the open and sensitive attitude to deal with students’struggles.

I also realised I wasn’t really good at teaching in general, although I enjoyed so much the Italian grammar and to teach it, whereas I wasn’t keen on getting the students into Italian culture.

What’s more teaching is a round the clock job!

Oh, I totally agree – being sensitive is a huge part. I have always loved that part of the job, but it can be challenging dealing with this in group dynamics! I had forgotten that you taught as well!

    > Can you change the collocation?

    > Here you need to say: … what a difficult job teaching is or how difficult teaching is

    > Can you try and fix this phrase? (Think about the word order of ‘so much’ and the agreement with ‘enjoy’!)

    Have a go!
