Gravitating towards Lisa, Paul was a bit nervous about his approach, but he knew it would be his only chance. His friend, Bob, nudged him and gave him a blink in to encourage. Obviously it didn’t help that much. Once he got near her, her boyfriend just appeared kissing her.

When you get sucked into a situation where you’re about to romantically approach a girl and his 6’5-foot boyfriend appears from nowhere, you’re in a tough situation to moving on from. The premise behind the whole picture is set to a bomb being dropped in your feet (probably your eyes is more accurate).

6’5-foot athletic and scary guy: – Hi mate, what is in over your head? You look concerned. Should you be concerned?
Paul: I came here to rope you guys into the halloween party, we need a couple to represent the dark king and queen.
Lisa: Oh Paul, that’s sounds so cool, can you clue us in how must we be wear?
We’re in a crossroad between vampires and ghosts, I’ll let you know as soon as we decide.
Unnamed boyfriend: I don’t wanna be the injured party, so I guess I’d vote for Wolves.

    Silence.

    Paul: I see you guys.
    Lisa: See you!

    Ahahaha! Typical bloke!
So, you could phrase it like this:
“Bob, nudged him and gave him an encouraging blink” – it sounds neater. Like?
