2 questions about change
What’s your own attitude to change?
I always though to be very open to change. That comes from the fact that I adapted to life very quickly at any big event of my life (for example my accident when I was 21) and I get bored when I realize that something becomed a habit… I hate habits and I love surprises!
In the meantime, I think to be a little slow internally, in the sense that I struggle with modifying my thoughts about people or situations, I need a lot of proofs of evidence before changing opinion, while I’m always surprised in front of people that are easily influenced by news or others’ opinions. Why do some people resist change?
I think some (better many!) people resist change because of the fear of the unknown. To be scared in front of something that we don’t know or we cannot control (it could be our future or simply a new colleague!) is quite natural and it’s that feeling that often guides our actions: it becomes more important resisting change than evolving or adapting to a new situation or person… Though some changes could be very exciting instead!
