First of all, MyY OH MY!! Keriiiinnnn!!! , I feel like I´m cheating on my husband! I could watch it over and over again. He´s such a hunk.

    Now , back to business.

Regarding how much a degree is worth, he makes it clear that it doesn´t always mean you´ll be successful. It´s just a piece of paper and again won´t guarantee anything. The future is “fussy”, it sure is. Life is hard and so are we. I understand he says that even if you find obstacles in the way, you can and must overcome them. What I take away from the whole speech is that anything you set as a goal, you can achieve but there is no substitute for hard work and effort. Nobody is to tell us what to do, rule # 8 Voluntary obligations and the one I really agree 100 % is rule # 3 Joy is a constant no matter the outcome. The journey is fun not the destination. That´s my motto in life.

The only thing I could object is: notwithstanding whether a degree is worthwhile or not, education is essential if we want a better society. We should raise the bar higher.

Nicely summed up – and I completely agree with your opinions, especially about education. I’m a firm believer!
