I’ll never forget the time we spent almost the all weekend/all the weekend end driving on the Milano-Genova motorway. We had decided to set off around 2pm in order to reach our little house in France for dinner and to have all the time to relax on Saturday before the meeting with the carpenter. After 4 hours of driving due to a lot of traffic, we had just arrived to XXmiglia at the end of the motorway and I put my hands into the bag to looking for my credit card for paying at the toll booth, when I thought of bringing out the house’s keys… Suddenly, I realised that I han’d checked about them before leaving the house in Milan… I had immediately the feeling that I had made an huge mistake… What a nightmare!

So, I was ransacking/turning upside down my bag, I realised that I hadn’t took my keys before setting off. While I was feeling ashamed and I was staring at Luca, I told: “I completely forgot to bring my keys… Did you bring them?”

Suddenly we realised that both had forgotten them and obviously we weren’t able to enter in the house in France… Can you imagine it?

We had to come back to Milan to retrieve them absolutely by Saturday, when we had to meet the carpenter.

In the end we came back to Milan and the day after, early morning, we set off again (with the keys this time…) and we got to France just in time for the meeting with the carpenter.

Anyway, it turns out that we spent all the weekend/the all weekend end driving.

Oh dear. Do you know how many times that has happened to Enri and I? it is like an illness for us!

This is great Vale – tenses are excellent and I really enjoyed reading it.

Just a few things to tell you, but not to do with the grammar 👍

    > we spent almost the all weekend/all the weekend – you can use both

    > I put my hands into the bag to LOOK for my credit card TO PAY (delete-at) the toll booth, when I thought of CHECKING IF I HAD the HOUSE (not-house’s) keys… Suddenly, I realised that I hadn’t checked IF I HAD them before leaving the house in Milan…

    >I realised that I hadn’t took – taken

    > you can saywe spent all the weekend/ or all weekend end driving.
