Since my house is not equipped TV, I don’t watch any series of TV program. Instead, I use my laptop to binge watching dramas if I found interesting. Unfortunately, these days I haven’t met any tempting dramas, so I only watch news to catch up with the current social affairs.

In my binge watching history, Glee and Gossip girl should be listed on top. These are American TV dramas which were popular among teenagers. I am a musical lover so I have never failed to watch the musical dramas or films. At that moment, I rent series of the dramas at a rental shop and was watching every day after school. In the beginning, the English subtitle was essential for me to follow the story lines though, I also tried to watch them without it, which actually turned out quite foolhardy.

Compared to those generally identified as binge watching, I’m not that much indulged to watch any TV series. I could not stick to the screen more than 2 hours basically. However, while watching, I was so into the story and was forgetting about my homework for the next day.

I believe that there’s good and bad effect of binge watching.

For upside, you can find persons who have also watched the same dramas and go along with them easily. Also generally speaking, it can help language learners to improve their listening skill as well as to widen lexical range. On the other hand, it can cause wasting time and money. As these series are invented to attract people to keep watching them until the end, they can spoil you from working or studying. Therefore, it is okay to be binge watching some times but not every time.

I don’t have a TV either anymore @Mao. In fact I use my I-pad like a TV nowadays. I agree with you – sometimes it’s nice to binge watch in order to switch off from the day. But too much feels like a waste of time. I also think for language learners, watching TV series is top!

(Ps. I loved the first 2 seasons of Glee!!!)

    Notes:

Very well written. Very fluid and coherent. Good use of vocabulary.

Let’s have a look at some corrections:

    > Since my house is not equipped WITH A TV ...

    > binge watch (or binge-watch) is the verb and binge watching (or binge-watching) is the noun

Therefore: Instead, I use my laptop to binge watch dramas … and

Therefore, it is okay to (DELETE: be) binge watch (DELETE:ing) sometimes but not every time.

Therefore, it is okay to binge watch sometimes but not every time.

    > At that moment, I rent series of the dramas …. Can you correct the grammar here?

    > For upside > On the upside
