    I get the impression that selling the company isn’t the best option.
    Elena would lose control of the company and the merger may hurt vendors.
    Sell to a competitor is an hasty exit strategy.

    I think that hiring a new CEO is the best scenario.
    The best so far is Christine, a young, smart MBA with a growth plan that includes targeting big companies like Amazon, Chewy, and Petco.

    But I’m just not 100% convinced that Christine is the right choice because she doesn’t have the same company vision of Elena.
    I’m fully confident that she could find a better match.

    The major advantage being that Elena could retain her majority shareholder position while steppig back from business.
