The Japanese Meal (from a watercolored nineteenth-century photograph by Adolfo farsari)

Three young and pensive Japanese ladies are occupied in an ancestral daily ritual repeated in the identical way century by century. White rise is boiled, glazed bowls, caps and teapot are set on tiny tables. kneeled phantoms in opalescent light are waiting for something new that it’ll never occour. Silence reign.
