Let’s accept it! We are not only “what we eat”, but even more “what we watch”.

Tv has an impact on what we think, what we like, on our habits and on our values.

In other words anything we are exposed to, affect us and shape our style of living. Many studies give us evidence that our habits regarding tv, series, social media, rope us in a way of thinking someone else has established. And this phenomenon is irreversible.

At the same time what we watch can help us to read the world. An high quality film, documentary, program give us tools to interpret society around us.

Hence the point is who decide the content of things we watch?

Are we, the plebs, in the position of taking under control the content of what is broadcasted? I think we are far from this point. Are we instead at that point when we are in over our head? I don’t think we are. In fact, we have to consider that nowadays we have more and more instruments to break free from the media dictatorship. Are we able to push the envelope and being what we want or do we prefer living bland and conformist life? It’s up to us 🙂

As for the question of the essay, if television has positively or negatively affected the cultural development of our society, I would say in the end that tv, as one of the main fount of information, has had a negative impact on the shaping of the public opinion.

Well written @nadia.bruno with some nice vocabulary in there. 🙌

As I said, try to correct this draft using the writing code I sent you. Just ask if there is anything you can’t fix.

Tip: For the letter “H”, the pronunciation dictates the indefinite article: Use “a” before words where you pronounce the letter “H” such as “a HIGH,” “a house” or “a happy cat.” Use “an” before words where you don’t pronounce the letter “H” such as “an hour,” or “an honourable man”, “an honest mistake”
