The living room became dog’s dinner
Two days ago, my mom started bringing to the living room the child books which she bought for me when I was small. One after another she had kept bringing parcels with full of the books, meanwhile I was doing a curtain twitchier. After she had brought all the books, the number looked more than 300. “These books have become worn out as kept for a long time in the closet, but do you fancy read any of these books?” she asked me. “Tickety-boo!” I replied. Same as humans, books also horse for course and each has a unique story line and which caught my mind and never let me go even I became older. My mom told me that when she got up the duff, she started collecting the books.
Anyroad, I asked why she was taking them out now. She replied she fancy donate them to a place where families in the neighborhood come to read books for their kids. While she was removing dust and wiping the covers, she looked a bit gutted.
Of these books, I found my favorite one and shouted “I bagsy this”. It was “Would you rather…” written by John Burningham from Blight. It was one of the dog’s bollocks. I bloody liked it and begged many times my dad to read before I slept. Starting with it, I had checked all the books around the room and picked up for reading. When I felt knackered, it was already at dusk. All books were the dog’s bollocks though, what I felt at the end of the day was gratitude to my mom and dad who presented us so many dench stories and gave us wonderful story telling. I went to my mom working still hard on sorting them out into parcel, and said “I am such a jammy girl born in this family. Ta”. She grinned and replied “It’s my pleasure. By the way, do you fancy helping me to clean up these books?”
“Oh! Definitely I will, her majesty’s pleasure” I promptly answered. The room got dog’s dinner after I bloody enjoyed reading them.
