    Here’s another interesting exercise Karin!

I hadn’t realized before how much my taste has changed over a 10 years span!

One of the biggest changes is the fact that in the past I liked going out with friends until the wee hours of the morning several times per week, whereas now I enjoy spending time at home, I need it! And maybe that’s why, I think, when I was younger the place where I lived was not really important for me, living in a treehouse would have been more than perfect! Today, living in a nice and comfortable place is quite essential. And of course, I always love meeting friends, but being alone it’s become extremely important.

I also noticed that my habits about the sport have changed a lot. I used to practice intense sport almost every day. I loved capoeira, but a few years ago I stopped doing it because I realized it was too hard for my body (the last years I had to see my osteopath once per month!). Now I prefer a more gentle sport, like yoga. I still like running but I try to alternate this kind of more tiring activity with something mellow.

That said, by way of conclusion, I think we are talking about a natural and healthy process of life. Outgrowing certain things and branch out others allows us to enrich ourselves and also to know ourselves better and better over time. And this is great 😊

Hi @wanda, I totally agree with you! It is a natural and healthy process. I think I am coming to terms with that now 😂 I was perhaps mourning a little bit my ‘youthfulness’ but now nine times out of ten I prefer staying home … and I’m quite happy about it!

I’m also happy to see you are using some excellent vocabulary here – great!

Here are a few tweaks to make:

    > … but being alone it’s become extremely important. (we don’t need to use it here)

    > … but being alone has become extremely important.

    > I also noticed that my habits about the sport … (‘sport’ doesn’t need the definite article)

    > I also noticed that my habits about sport... ✅

    > Outgrowing certain things and branch out others …. here you use the gerund form with outgrowing, so you have to use the same form with ‘branch’. We also need to add the preposition into: to branch out into something

    > Outgrowing certain things and branching out into others …

    🤗

Thanks for your corrections Kerin! 🙏 And also for this new expression: “come to terms with” and this new word: “mourning”!!! 😃
